Inside the First Ever Pre-Oscars Cannabis Gifting Suite

In the lead up to Hollywood’s biggest night, the Oscars, one cannabis brand was setting a new standard for luxury Hollywood gifting suites.
On Friday February 22 at The Venue (an upscale VIP venue in Hollywood, located within the Dolby Theater complex, where the Oscars were held on Sunday night) BudTrader.com, the Universe’s largest Cannabis Social Media Platform, hosted an exclusive cannabis gifting suite to honor nominees and other film industry VIPs. The weekend leading up to the biggest awards show is traditionally a time of high-profile entertainment industry parties and high-end gift bags for nominees, but the BudTrader Save the Weed, Save the World event was the first ever all-cannabis VIP gift lounge to feature during a major awards show.
“BudTrader made history at the Save the Weed, Save the World gifting suite,” says BudTrader CEO Brad McLaughlin. “The feedback I heard all day from our VIP guests was, ‘What took you so long?’. These people are operating at the highest levels of the entertainment industry, and so many of them have had to hide their cannabis use due to outdated moral codes. We broke new ground for cannabis in Hollywood with our event, and I am proud of that.” McLaughlin also stated: “Gift lounges are supposed to be a place where celebrities can relax, chill out and be themselves and have fun. I’ve been to other gift lounges that give out tupperware and luggage….. How are you supposed to relax with luggage? It just made sense to create a gift lounge by the cannabis industry for celebrities that are cannabis enthusiasts! It’s time that we connected.”
BudTrader.com is the largest online cannabis social media marketplace. Its platform is available in the United States where cannabis use is legal, as well as Canada and Puerto Rico. Their two-million registered users can safely and legally post and reply to classifieds-style ads for cannabis products, services, jobs, equipment and more while also networking.
Nominees, celebrities, filmmakers, influencers and members of the media who attended the BudTrader Save the Weed, Save the World Cannabis Gifting Suite received a smell-proof hemp duffle bag, emblazoned with the BudTrader green and white logo. Inside the bag were deluxe and exclusive cannabis/CBD products and other weed-related gifts. Items were carefully curated by BudTrader’s team to represent the best of the cannabis industry.
We got to take a look at the star-studded guest list for the BudTrader pre-awards show gifting suite!
